11-year-old boy attacked by leopard, suffers head injuries

An 11-year-old boy was rushed to SSG Hospital in Vadodara after sustaining head injuries in a leopard attack in Farod village of Goghamba taluka of Panchmahal district on Thursday night.

The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Friday. The boy, Dhanraj Pravin, was sleeping on a cot outside his village home when the leopard attacked the boy, authorities said.

According to doctors at the hospital, the boy suffered bite wounds to his face and around his eyes. The forestry department has launched an operation to catch the big cat.
