The field for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament will be announced on Sunday. There will be 68 teams (32 automatic qualifiers who won their conference tournaments and 36 overall selections) located across four regions.
The tournament will begin with two play-in games on Wednesday and another two play-in games on Thursday. The first and second rounds will be played at the home stadiums of the top 16 seeds from March 17-20. Sweet 16 will take place at two neutral sites on March 24 and 25, and Elite Eight will follow on March 26 and 27. The Final Four will take place in Dallas, with the national semifinals on March 31 and the championship game on April 2.
