3 found dead in apartment as Sacramento County deputies and SWAT investigate shooting

Three adults were found dead inside an apartment in Sacramento County on Friday, the sheriff’s office said. Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report at 11 a.m. of a shooting at The Eleven Hundred Apartments in the 1100 block of Howe Avenue at Fairview Street. Amar Gandhi said on KCRA 3 News at noon that negotiators were unable to establish contact with the possible gunman, not even by phone. He said officers then called the SWAT team. Gandi said SWAT team officers broke into the apartment’s front door with special devices to get a better view of what was happening inside and confirm witness accounts. He said no gunshots were used. “They could have been stun blasts; they could have been other devices used for that technique,” he said. KCRA 3 asked if there were any suspects among the three dead. Gandhi said he could not confirm it, but said there is not believed to be a threat to the public. People living in the apartment complex were allowed to return after part of the complex was evacuated. All but one of the apartments next to the crime scene have been cleared. This story is developing and details may change as more information becomes available. Stay with KCRA 3 for updates.
