Crossbow killer Kyle Clifford, 26, faces life in prison after being convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend Louise Hunt, her sister Hannah, and their mother Carol, as well as the rape of Louise in a “violent, sexual act of spite”. Prosecutors said Clifford meticulously planned the July 9 attacks after becoming “enraged” when Louise ended their relationship.
He tricked Carol Hunt into letting him into the family home before stabbing her to death, then lay in wait for an hour to restrain, rape, and kill Louise with a crossbow before fatally wounding 28-year-old Hannah Hunt when she arrived home from work. Clifford, of Enfield, north London, will be sentenced for three counts of murder, one of rape, one of false imprisonment and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon at Cambridge Crown Court on Tuesday.
