Polive are hunting for a man they describe as “extremely dangerous”. Nottinghamshire Police is looking for Simon McHugh in connection with a stabbing in Gedling on Tuesday, May 7. A man in his 30s was seriously injured in a stabbing last night and is currently in hospital.
Police were called to Westdale Lane at around 10.30 pm and a heavy police presence remains in the area. A police cordon will remain in place for some time whilst investigation work takes place. Police are now searching for Simon McHugh who they describe as “extremely dangerous”.
The public is being urged not to approach the 45-year-old wanted man and to instead immediately contact the police.
The 6ft tall man was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black shorts.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a wanted man in connection with a stabbing in Gedling last night.
“Members of the public are being urged not to approach Simon McHugh, aged 45, who is around 6ft tall, last seen wearing a black hoodie and black shorts.
“Police believe the man to be extremely dangerous and are calling on anyone with information to immediately contact the police. Anyone with information should call 999 or 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
