Tesco customers were left fuming on Wednesday evening after the supermarket giant’s app experienced issues.
More than 1,000 users reported issues with the app shortly after 7pm, with a spokesperson for Tesco confirming that they were aware of an “issue” that would be fixed shortly.
Panicked customers called for clarity about the status of the software as they scrambled to submit orders before the cut-off point of 11:45pm.
Shoppers reported problems lodging delivery orders after receiving error messages while trying to check out, with the problem still unresolved at 8:30pm.
“Tesco, your app has been down for ages!” one frustrated X user said. “We need to checkout for our order, this is ridiculous.”
