Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday wished Russian President Vladimir Putin on his birthday and expressed his anticipation of welcoming him to India for the upcoming India-Russia annual summit.
During a phone call, the leaders reviewed progress on their bilateral agenda and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the India-Russia special and privileged strategic partnership.
Modi reiterated that he looks forward to hosting Putin in India. The annual summit is scheduled for early December.
