Once the fog lifts, mostly sunny skies are expected for the rest of the day, with afternoon highs running above average in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
Monday will bring another chance for patchy dense fog during the morning hours. Conditions will turn warm again in the afternoon, with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
A dip in the jet stream will push a cold front into the region late Monday into Tuesday, allowing much colder air to move in. High temperatures on Tuesday are expected to reach only the upper 50s to lower 60s. The coldest air arrives Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, when temperatures could fall below freezing in areas north and west of I-4.
Chilly conditions are expected to persist through the rest of the week and into the New Year.
