Traffic has come to a standstill on a busy stretch of the M6 in Lancashire following a crash between a lorry and two cars. Emergency services have rushed to the scene of the northbound section between J32 for the M55 Broughton Interchange and J33 for Lancaster South/Garstang.
All traffic heading northwards has been stopped. There are “long delays” in the area, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix, with motorway camera footage showing major congestion on approach to the crash. AA Traffic News has reported “severe delays of 31 minutes and delays increasing” on the M6 northbound.
