VOICE RECORDER WAS FOUND INTACT, AND IT WILL BE REVIEWED TODAY. RIGHT NOW, CREWS ARE CONTINUING TO WORK TO TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHAT CAUSED THE HELICOPTER TO CRASH INTO A BOYNTON BEACH WAREHOUSE. TWO PEOPLE ON BOARD THAT CHOPPER DIED, AND WE’RE NOW HEARING THE FINAL CALL FOR HELP. HEY, MAX, WE’RE GOING TO BE LANDING OUT HERE IN ONE OF THESE FIELDS. WE GOT SOMETHING GOING ON. IT HAPPENED IN THE EGRET POINT LOGISTICS CENTER ON CONGRESS AVENUE, SOUTH OF WOOLBRIGHT ROAD, NOT FAR FROM I-95. WAREHOUSE WORKERS WERE NOT INSIDE THE BUILDING AND THEY WERE NOT HURT. WE DID HEAR FROM ONE LONG TIME PILOT AND FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR WHO SAYS THERE ARE CLUES AS TO WHAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THE CRASH. IT’S ALL IN THE TRACK LOG, WHICH PROVIDES CONSTANT UPDATES OF THE AIRCRAFT’S LOCATION, SPEED AND ALTITUDE. AND ACCORDING TO THE LOG, THE LAST TWO UPDATES BEFORE THE CRASH SHOW THE AIRCRAFT DROPPING 375FT PER MINUTE AND THEN 750FT AFTER FALLING OUT OF THE SKY. THAT DOES NOT SUGGEST A NORMAL CONTROLLED DESCENT, MORE LIKE AN ENGINE FAILURE.
