Albuquerque Police are investigating a deadly shooting in southwest Albuquerque.Officers were called to the area of 8th Street and Marquez Lane around 8:50 p.m. Sunday, July 12.They found a man in his 50’s shot to death in the intersection.His name will not be released until next of kin are notified.APD Communications Director Gilbert Gallegos says they are working to determine what led to the shooting and find a suspect.”It’s early in the investigation”, said Gallegos. “Detectives are working diligently. We are using all the tools at our disposal to try to identify who may have been involved in this. They’re checking with neighbors in the area, looking for any cameras those sorts of things to try to identify who the suspects or the offenders may have been.”This is a developing story.
