A tourist from Delhi drowned while bathing at the Sahastradhara waterfall here on Sunday, according to the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
This is the second such death at the popular tourist spot this month.
The SDRF said a team immediately reached the site and launched a search operation.
The tourist’s body was recovered near the Pandavwala Bridge, 2 km away from the waterfall.
The deceased has been identified as Nauth Ram (50).
The water level in rivers and streams across Uttarakhand has surged significantly due to rain.
Earlier this month, Panipat resident Neha Arya (25) died at the Sahastradhara after she slipped into the stream, and was swept away by the strong current.
