Florida State Rep. Anna Eskamani (D) said Gov. ron desantis should not try to match Republican rival donald trumpextremism of ― and expressed his point of view like a comedian on a talk show. (Look the following video).
“DeSantis is trying to ‘out-Trump’ and to do that, you have to be as extreme as possible,” he said in a statement. CNN Saturday. “Now, I would say that unless you’ve been impeached and led an insurrection, you can’t ‘out-Trump’ Trump.”
“Not only is it unpopular with the general electorate, we had several republicans vote no to this ban in the plenary session of the House, and some walked away so as not to have to vote,” he said. “So the legislature knows that this will lead to the loss of seats and what gives me hope is that the people of Florida will rise up in opposition to this.”
Eskamani accused DeSantis of “trying to mislead voters into seeing him viable on a national stage and I think we’re seeing that that’s not the case and that he doesn’t have a path to victory.”
