The Mayor of the City of London says the UK must take risks to succeed after Brexit

The City of London ambassador says the UK must do more to support risk takers, saying there must be a change in mindset around wealth creation and more capital channeled into growth companies to enable them to scale and compete.

“We need to take the lead,” Mayor Nicholas Lyons said in an interview with Bloomberg Radio on Wednesday when asked if Britain’s agenda was ambitious enough after leaving the European Union. “We have massive assets to boost, but there is a broader cultural point about wealth creation in this country that has become almost a dirty topic to talk about.”
