Three things investors will need to believe for this rally to continue, says UBS

UBS says investors need to digest three crucial points to sustain the current market rally.

First, investors must believe that the Federal Reserve will not raise interest rates beyond the two increases implied in the most recent dot chart, according to UBS Americas chief investment officer Solita Marcelli.

Second, investors must remain confident that the US will avoid a recession. Lastly, Marcelli added, the rise of AI actions must prove to be “justified,” like most AI actions: nvidia, Amazon, Goal, tesla, Alphabet, Apple and Microsoft – make up 80% of the rise of the S&P 500 so far in 2023.
