A US State Department administration official has expressed support for Pakistan’s stance on the terrorist attacks by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West supported Pakistan’s position on TTP terrorist activities in the country.

At a seminar held at the Stimson Center, West said the TTP is a major threat to peace in the region.

He added that Pakistan has seen an increase in TTP attacks on Afghan soil.
“Anyone who knows the region knows that the TTP continued fighting as a supporter of the Afghan Taliban after their expulsion from Pakistan,” he commented.
The Afghan Taliban and the TTP are on the same page in terms of operational and financial support, the US official added.
On Friday, at At least 52 people were killed and more than 70 injured in a suicide blast during the main Eid Miladun Nabi procession in Mastung area of Balochistan.
According to details, the explosion shook the surroundings near the Madina Mosque during the main procession of Eid Miladun Nabi, as people gathered to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Mastung Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nawaz Gashkori was among the deceased.
In another incident on the same day, four worshipers were killed and several others injured after an explosion rocked a mosque during Friday prayers.
The explosion occurred during the Friday prayer sermon, causing the mosque to completely collapse.
