A former governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has been named speaker on the annual lecture of the Society for Worldwide Relations Consciousness, holding on Wednesday, October 18, in Abuja.
An announcement on Sunday by his media workplace stated Fayemi would give insights into how the African continent can navigate turbulence and take its rightful place on the planet.
The theme of the lecture is: ‘Africa, within the turbulence of a world searching for path.’
“The lecture is each well timed and important because it addresses the evolving dynamics that the continent faces in an ever-changing international panorama.
“Dr Fayemi, who’s at present a visiting professor on the Faculty of World Affairs, Kings Faculty, London, is anticipated to talk on the challenges and alternatives dealing with Africa within the present international context. He may even share his insights into how the continent can navigate the turbulence of the world and discover its place,” the assertion learn partly.
In response to the assertion, the Chief of Employees to the African Union Chairman, Ambassador John Shinkaiye, is the Visitor of Honour. Among the many discussants are Prof. Jibrin Ibrahim, and Prof. Freedom Onuoha.
“The Chairperson of the occasion is former OAU Assistant Secretary, Normal Political Affairs, and former Nigerian Ambassador to Ethiopia and Eritrea, Ambassador Brownson Dede.”
