One other member of the royal household is reportedly taking a while off from their public duties as Kate Middleton and King Charles proceed to get better from their respective surgical procedures.

Prince Edward, 59, is taking “a brief break from public duties after his journeys abroad in January to South Africa and St. Helena,” the Telegraph reported on Tuesday.

The Duke of Edinburgh spent 4 days final week visiting South Africa, a Commonwealth nation, and St. Helena, a British Abroad Territory.

It is not uncommon for the royals to take day without work after busy journeys, so it seems Edward is solely following process. He’s slated to attend a reception on the Institute of Physics on Feb. 8, so it seems he’ll resume his royal duties subsequent week.

This information comes after each Kate and Charles returned residence Monday following their scheduled medical procedures.
