Mendiants are usually slabs of chocolate with nuts and dried fruit scattered on top. At Éclat Chocolate, the chocolatier Christopher Curtin has come up with a new variation he’s calling Mondiants: decoratively embossed wafer-thin chocolate disks with various fillings. The choices are dark chocolate, with fillings of cacao nibs or caramel, and milk chocolate, with a peanut butter filling.
