Acharya Panchakarma – Setting the standard for Ayurveda

Ayurveda, the ancient Indian medical system based on natural remedies and holistic healing, has been practiced for over 5,000 years. Recently, Ayurveda has become increasingly popular among those seeking alternative medicine. Acharya Panchakarma, a small traditional Ayurvedic clinic in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is a notable example of a business that has successfully upheld the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda.

Acharya Panchakarma is headed by Radhamony, 65 years old. She is a traditional Vaidya from the renowned Acharya Vaidya family in Kerala. “ Ayurveda is in my blood. Knowledge is passed on to me by my ancestors. I just carry it on and preserve it for generations to come,” says Radhamony.

One of Acharya Panchakarma’s most celebrated products is Kanaka Prabha Pain Oil, which consists of 52 carefully selected and hand-picked ingredients. The ingredients are then combined using traditional methods that have been passed down through the generations, resulting in an effective pain-relieving oil that is recognized throughout the world.

“It was never a business. never will be. I run Acharya Panchakarma as a service to society. It was only last year that we registered it as a business to comply with laws and regulations,” says Radhamony.

The Acharya family takes pride in the traditional methods they use to create their products. All of their products are made by hand in small 200 liter batches once a week. They hand select the herbs used in their products, with most being grown on their own herb farm. These traditional methods and methods of obtaining ingredients guarantee the highest quality and effectiveness of their products. Acharya Panchakarma’s popularity has steadily increased over the years, and people all over the world depend on its natural healing properties. Customers book their orders in advance to ensure they get their favorite products, as the waiting list is often long.

Radhamony’s passion for natural remedies and traditional healing methods is at the core of Acharya Panchakarma. These honest little clinics are the heart of Ayurveda and the pride of India. They should be celebrated, cherished and preserved for generations to come.
