Here’s how Vince Rugari saw the first half which has scores at SYD 7.9.51 and ESS 7.4.46
There’s a decent crowd in the house at the SCG tonight and they’re getting their money’s worth. This has been a belter of a match and the atmosphere is brilliant.
Both teams have had their moments – Essendon in the first term, Sydney in the second. It’s been a really great effort from the young Swans to fight back from 25 points down, when they could have dropped their heads so easily. It’s been a while since I’ve heard a roar at this ground as loud as the one when Lance Franklin kicked his second to put Sydney back in front – and the deep kick inside 50 from Errol Gulden certainly won’t hurt the nice little personal fan club he’s already building.
They deserve to be in front, and go into the sheds with all the momentum. Huge second half ahead.
