The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at held its annual peace symposium in Chandigarh on the theme “The Key to World Peace and Security” with its standing motto of “Love for All, Hate for None”.
The audience was made up of people from diverse backgrounds, namely religious leaders, social activists, academics, bureaucrats, and young professionals and students.
Mohd Majid, one of the Jama’at members, said that the world today is going through a very turbulent time. “As a global community and a purely Islamic organization with its firm goal of establishing global peace, we consider it our first and foremost duty to guide the world towards peace. Because Islam is a religion of peace. The very meaning of Islam is peace and harmony.”
Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian was founded in 1889 in the small village of Qadian (Gurdaspur District), Punjab.
