Akshay Kumar sacrifices his acting fees to bring Hera Pheri 3 and Welcome 3 to life; Signs Profit Sharing Deal With Firoz Nadiadwala: Bollywood News – Bollywood Hungama

After all the ups and downs, Akshay Kumar finally commits to acting in Hera Pheri 3 and Welcome 3, two of its cult comedy franchises produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. Although Welcome 3 starts soon, Hera Pheri 3 is scheduled to release in 2024. According to sources close to the development, Akshay Kumar has gone all out to bring both cult comedies to life.

“Akshay Kumar was very sad when he heard that Kartik Aaryan would replace him in Hera Pheri 3. He read all the reactions from fans and media and then decided to resolve all differences with Firoz Nadiadwala and thus return to the franchise. He has done it for all his fans, who wanted to see him as Raju and Rajeev,” revealed a source close to the development. Bollywood Hungama.

One wonders what Akshay has done to bring franchises to life. The source told us, “Akshay knew that Firoz Nadiadwala is not in the best financial situation, however, he was well aware that the basic idea of Welcome 3 and Hera Pheri 3 have the potential to emerge as a huge box office hit. To begin with, he first decided to completely sacrifice her fee and entered into a profit-sharing model with Firoz Nadiadwala on the entire income. Firoz wanted to retain the intellectual property and therefore has full control over the intellectual property; However, she will share the income with Akshay in a predetermined ratio,” the source explained to Bollywood Hungama.

The source further explained, “Upon stopping paying fees, he sat down with Firoz to work out an exit plan by bringing in a studio. He personally spoke to Jio Studios and brought them on board to partner with Firoz Nadiadwala. Once Jio joined, it was an arrow , 3 solutions: Firoz got out of debt, franchises revived and Akshay will get his share of Jio’s profits, without any risk of the films being shelved.”

As a token of gratitude for going above and beyond, Firoz Nadiadwala has given 2 checks of Rs. 9 crores each as a token amount for Akshay, which he terms as a gesture of goodwill on his part. Now both Akshay and Firoz along with their studio Jio Studios are ready to entertain the audience and in turn make money from Welcome 3 and Hera Pheri 3.
