All lines blocked and major train station evacuated as fire erupts on train

National Rail has confirmed further travel arrangements for London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway passengers affected by the disruption at Birmingham New Street.

Rail replacement buses, operated by Stagecoach, are running in both directions on the following routes:

-Longbridge and Bromsgrove/Redditch

-Lichfield City and Sutton Coldfield

-Rugeley Trent Valley and Walsall

Passengers can also use their rail tickets at no extra cost on West Midlands Metro services between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton while disruption continues.
