Angela Bassett was celebrated with an honorary Oscar on Tuesday, and the beloved actress made the event much more particular by bringing her household alongside for the festivities.
The Black Panther: Wakanda Eternally star walked the crimson carpet on the Academy of Movement Image Arts and Sciences’ 14th Annual Governors Awards on the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles.
Bassett was joined by her husband, Courtney B. Vance, and their 17-year-old twins — son Slater Josiah Vance and daughter Bronwyn Golden Vance — for a uncommon household second in entrance of the press photographers.
Bassett spoke with ET’s Denny Directo on the carpet, and he or she opened up about having these closest to her by her facet throughout her massive evening.
“The individuals who love being there, they’re there, [and] they’re there holding me up,” Bassett stated of her household, and the cadre of shut mates and stylists who accompanied them to the star-studded occasion. “You’ll be able to’t do it alone.”
