Another version of the flubot scam text messages are flooding inboxes

Scamwatch is urging Australians to be cautious should they receive a text like this.

The site, run by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), said it’s a new variation of the common flubot scam.

“Scammers are sticking to a delivery theme for the messages, but texts may now ask you to ‘enter your details’ to receive a package,” it wrote on Twitter.

“Delete these texts and don’t click on links.”

Since August 2021, Scamwatch has received over 9500 reports of these scams.
