In an interview with Indian Express, Anubhav Sinha was asked why he chose to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s voiceover from the newly re-uploaded trailer. He said: “There are more changes to the trailer, but this is more news to you. Every movie goes through several of these challenges. Let’s talk about careful the history. I don’t want to distract people from the story of carefulsince it is much more interesting”.
Anubhav even addressed the online backlash about the trailer being called “anti-national” after the first sneak peek compared the COVID-19 lockdown to the partition of India in 1947. He said: “Yes, I’ve heard I’m anti-national before. I hear it in most of my movies. But I was not surprised. I love India, I love India original idea. Anyone who loves India more than me, I respect. I’m trying to do the best I can as a lover and I’m sure even they have done the best they can as a lover of the country.”
