Apple Reverses Transfer to Ban ‘Fortnite’ Maker From European Union

Apple Inc., going through mounting stress from regulators within the European Union, has reversed a choice to ban Fortnite maker Epic Video games Inc. from providing its personal iPhone app market within the area.

Apple will restore a developer account for Epic’s Sweden division, letting the video games firm transfer forward with plans for constructing its personal EU app retailer. Apple is required to permit rival marketplaces on its platform underneath the EU’s Digital Markets Act, which took impact this week.
