Armed cop held at airport | The Express Tribune

LAHORE:

Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel arrested a uniformed police officer from Gujrat at Allama Iqbal International Airport after he was found carrying a weapon inside the terminal.

According to sources, the officer, identified as Ibn Ali, entered the airport premises in plain clothes. He later changed into his police uniform and carried his weapon inside the terminal, which aroused suspicion among ASF personnel who apprehended the officer and seized a gun and ammunition from his possession.

Following preliminary interrogation, the suspect was handed over to the airport police for investigation. The initial inquiry revealed that the officer had come to the airport to receive his relatives.
