There is still a long way to go in the summer transfer window ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, however things are already moving very quickly at Arsenal.
A deal for Riccardo Calafiori is close to being wrapped top with the Gunners having agreed a fee of £34million + £5million in add-ons. The Italian defender will soon become Arsenal’s first major signing of the summer window and there will no doubt be more to follow.
Edu deserves massive credit as he beat Real Madrid and Juventus to secure the signing of Mikel Arteta’s number one defensive target. However if this summer is going to be a real success, Edu will need to secure some big transfer fees for players who are expected to leave the club over the next few weeks.
Following the eventual signing of Riccardo Calafiori, the club will turn their attention to outgoings with Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson all closing in on moves away from their boyhood club this summer.

As well as Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe has also been the subject of strong interest at the beginning of this summer transfer window.
Arsenal’s number ten is looking to leave North London in search for more regular game time next season. Crystal Palace and Fulham have both had bids rejected for the midfielder over the last week.

Fulham are expected to return with an improved offer this week, with Arsenal looking for more than £30million for their current number ten.
Another player set to leave the Gunners in search for more minutes is Reiss Nelson. West Ham are showing serious interest in the winger, however are yet to make a formal offer so far.
If all goes to plan Arsenal will sell all three homegrown talents for a collective fee of around £100million over the next couple of weeks which would provide a healthy boost to the club’s budget as they aim to close the gap on Manchester City ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
