
Austal Australia has signed a memorandum of understanding with maritime defence manufacturing firm Harland & Wolff Group to pursue shipbuilding alternatives in the UK.
The partnership, signed on the current 2023 Indo Pacific Maritime Exposition in Sydney, contains the switch of know-how, abilities, and shipyard capabilities required to construct the following era of patrol vessels for maritime safety companies in the UK.
The 2 corporations have recognized alternatives within the UK market, together with the Border Pressure vessel substitute program, and are planning to determine a non-exclusive partnership on such alternatives.
Austal CEO Paddy Gregg stated the partnership with Harland & Wolff was step one in the direction of successful new enterprise in the UK.

Harland & Wolff Group CEO John Wooden stated the corporate will companion with Austal not just for the switch of know-how to construct aluminium vessels but additionally to collaborate with them when bidding for contracts.
