SYDNEY, Nov 23 (Reuters) – Australia will step up spending to underwrite new wind, photo voltaic and battery initiatives, Vitality Minister Chris Bowen mentioned on Thursday, seeking to lure investments to stabilise the vitality grid as coal-fired vegetation retire.

Bowen didn’t specify how a lot the federal government expects to spend on the programme, designed to drive funding in 32 gigawatts (GW) of recent capability, or round half the nationwide electrical energy market’s current capability.
