Australia union accepts Jones resignation

MELBOURNE, Oct 31 (Reuters) – Rugby Australia (RA) confirmed on Tuesday it had accepted Eddie Jones’ resignation as coach of the Wallabies.

Jones advised The Australian newspaper on Sunday he had agreed phrases with RA referring to his exit, lower than two weeks after saying he would honour his contract to steer the Wallabies to the 2027 World Cup on dwelling soil.

“Rugby Australia thanks Eddie for his dedication to the Wallabies in 2023, and needs him the most effective in his future endeavours,” RA mentioned in an announcement. “Bulletins concerning the way forward for the Wallabies teaching workers can be made in the end.”

RA boss Phil Waugh will maintain a media convention at 2 p.m. native time (0300 GMT) on Tuesday.
