A whole bunch of individuals have been urged to evacuate rural cities in Australia’s Victoria state as a large grassland bushfire threatens their properties.
About 1,000 firefighters are battling the blaze close to the city of Beaufort, about 100 miles west of Melbourne, Premier Jacinta Allan instructed reporters on Thursday. Authorities have issued an emergency warning to residents there and in surrounding cities, telling them to move to the close by regional metropolis of Ballarat.
