Australia’s Client Sentiment Extends Pessimism into 2024

Australia’s client confidence slipped in January, as households stay anxious about their funds following a collection of fast rate of interest hikes.

Sentiment declined 1.3% to 81 factors, with pessimists closely outweighing optimists given a studying of 100 is the dividing line, a Westpac Banking Corp. survey confirmed Tuesday. The index has held under 100 since February 2022.
