Rapper Badshah seems to be in trouble over the lyrics of his new song. A complaint was filed with the Indore police in Madhya Pradesh on Friday against the singer for allegedly hurting people’s religious feelings by using the word ‘Bholenath’ in a song containing objectionable lyrics, a police officer said. The complaint was lodged by an organization called ‘Parshuram Sena’ and action will be taken after the allegations are investigated, said MG Road Police Station Chief Santosh Singh.

The organization’s lawyer, Vinod Dwivedi, claimed that the lyrics to Badshah’s new song ‘Sanak’ contained objectionable lyrics and that the use of the word ‘Bholenath’ had hurt the feelings of Hindus. Some people also protested in front of the MG Road police station and burned an effigy of the 37-year-old artist.

Badshah recently made headlines over rumors of his wedding to his long-time girlfriend and Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi. According to media reports, the couple were planning a gurdwara wedding in northern India in April, which would be attended by family and close friends. However, the rapper played down the rumors with an Instagram Story calling the speculation “baseless.”

Badshah was rumored to be dating her since last year after they met at a party and shared similar interests. The rapper was married to Jasmine Masih in 2012 and in 2017, the two became parents to his daughter Jessemy Grace Masih Singh. However, they broke up in 2020.
