ISLAMABAD Â Â Â Â Â Â – Â Â Â Â PakiÂstani and Chinese leadÂers have agreed that BaÂlochistan was important to both the all-weather friends and the province was a key part of the ChiÂna-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
They expressed these views during a webiÂnar organized on “BaÂlochistan’s Political ParÂties’ Dialogue: CPEC and China’s Global LeaderÂship during COVID19†by the EPI, a think-tank here yesterday, says a reÂport carried by the GwaÂdar Pro yesterday.
The dialogue engaged speakers from most of the mainstream political parties of Balochistan to reiterate their commitÂment towards making CPEC a success and to discuss China’s achieveÂments in tackling the coÂrona virus pandemic at home and abroad.
The dialogue also aimed to discuss the opportunities for BaÂlochistan under cooperaÂtion mechanism on COVÂID-19 to uplift its health care system, among othÂer important agenda items.
Governor Balochistan Justice ® Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and ChiÂna’s Ambassador to PakiÂstan Yao Jing addressed the forum as keynote speakers.
Speakers from varÂious political parties of Balochistan includÂed Malik Sikandar Khan, leader of opposition in Balochistan Assembly, MPA Sanaullah Khan BaÂloch, Abdul Khaliq HazÂara, Chairman of HazÂara Democratic Party, Dr. Ishaque Baloch from NaÂtional Party, Prince Agha Umer from Balochistan Awami Party, Jaffar Khan Mandokhel President – PML-Q Balochistan, and Dr. Hayatullah Khan KhilÂji – Member of Provincial Council and CEC ANP.
The Chinese ambasÂsador in his keynote adÂdress highlighted the imÂportance of Balochistan to Pakistan and China. He exÂplained the achievements of China in tackling COVÂID19 faced by and also apÂpreciated the efforts of PaÂkistan in the war against the pandemic.
He assured that ChiÂna will stand beside PaÂkistan through thick and thin. China has helped Pakistan in establishing a 1000 bed isolation hosÂpital and is continuing to help Pakistan
