Bangalore University Campus Murder: Engineering Student Arrested

The arrestee has been identified as Bharatesh NA, 22 years old, a resident of Bangalore. During the college festival at Reva University, Bhaskar Jetty H, a Gujarat native and fourth-year mechanical engineering student, was stabbed to death in a crevice.

A police official said Bharatesh is a second-year civil engineering student at Reva University. Reva University organizes ‘Revotsava’, an annual festival on campus. Police said they had not yet determined the reason for the incident.

ML Kalicharan, a member of the university’s law faculty, filed a complaint stating that he saw a student (Jetty) bleeding profusely and another student fleeing the scene with a knife hidden behind him. The police launched a manhunt to catch the accused, as another student named Sharath Kumar was also injured.
