She also condemned recent violence and sabotage, calling for those responsible to be identified and punished.
Meanwhile, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus visited the Dhakeshwari temple in Dhaka on Tuesday, urging the Hindu community to “exercise patience” amid ongoing violence. He criticised “institutional decay” for the unrest and emphasised that all citizens’ rights should be respected, regardless of religion. The interim government also set up a hotline, urging people to provide information on attacks on Hindu temples, churches and other religious institutions, news agency PTI reported. The move comes amid reports of vandalisation of religious places, and businesses and properties belonging to minority communities.
