BIS officers and resource staff will process lesson plans to the students for an interactive learning experience. These lesson plans will also be hosted on the BIS website.

‘Standards Clubs’ conduct student-focused activities such as debates, quizzes and quizzes, including standards writing contests. Students also go on exposure visits to industries and laboratories to witness the various manufacturing and testing processes, as well as the BIS offices that have been developed as learning spaces. BIS provides financial support to these Clubs to carry out up to three activities in one year.
Commenting on this initiative, BIS Director General Pramod Kumar Tiwari said: “The ‘Learning Science Through Standards’ initiative is a step to bridge the gap between theory and actual use of science education. It will enable students relate the concepts of science to their real applications and also promote a culture of quality and standardization in the country.
