Beloved K-pop icon BoA has recently been embroiled in retirement rumors.
The speculation around her retirement sparked earlier on April 6 when BoA uploading a message saying, “I guess it’s okay to ‘finish a work out’ after my contract ends,” where the singer further clarified that the “finish a work out” was a typo for “retirement,” fuelling retirement rumors.
A day after, in response to these rumors and speculations, BoA reassured her fans by stating, “My contract doesn’t end till December 31, 2025,” on her social media on April 7.
She further comforted her fans by expressing her dedication to continue her career as a singer, “Until then, I will happily give my all as singer BoA. Don’t worry, my dear Jumping BoAs (BoA’s fandom).“
Addressing her fans’ concerns, BoA quickly clarified her contract situation, reassuring them she won’t be retiring anytime soon. This news, confirming her presence in the music scene for at least another year and eight months, brought relief and excitement to her loyal fanbase.
