Body found outside Gulfton apartments may have been dumped, HPD says

The body of a man found outside a Gulfton apartment complex on Saturday may have been dumped there, according to Houston police.

Houston police said they were called to the Peachtree Apartments at 5720 Rampart at about 3:25 p.m. for a man who was found on the ground. The Houston Fire Department pronounced a male dead, and further investigation found the individual may have been dumped, according to police.

The cause of death was pending autopsy results, and police said no suspects had been charged.

In surveillance footage that ABC 13 obtained from the complex, a man was seeing exiting a Toyota that pulled into a parking lot where the body was found. The vehicle left in under two minutes, ABC 13 reported.

A police spokesperson on Sunday could not confirm any more details about the body’s dumping when reached by the Chronicle.
