Bosasa trustee Cloete Murray died in hospital after sustaining serious injuries during an apparent hit-and-run on the N1 in Midrand yesterday afternoon, March 18, anti-crime activist, Yusuf Abramjee has confirmed it.

Cloete Murray, trustee of Bosasasa, dies after apparent coup
It has been confirmed that Murray died in hospital after an apparent blow that took the life of his son yesterday.
Emergency services took Murray to hospital after a targeted attack.

Murray served as liquidator of the Guptas and the controversial state contractor Bosasa.
The exact circumstances leading up to the incident are unknown at this time and are part of the police investigation.
Shot twice in the head
Yusuf Abramjee, an anti-crime activist, reported in a TV interview with eNCA this morning that confirmed Murray was shot in the head at least twice.
Gunmen attacked him and his son when they were traveling in a white Toyota Prado.
They were traveling on the N1 north from Johannesburg towards their home in Pretoria.

The gunmen, who were using handguns, fired several dozen shots at Murray’s vehicle.
This happened in front of the Engine garage on New Road Offramp.
Unfortunately, Thomas was sitting in the passenger seat and was shot and killed.
Murray, who was seriously injured at the scene, was rushed to a hospital in Sunninghill.
He later succumbed to his injuries.
Abramjee also mentioned that he was on record last year saying there was an attempt to “get rid of him”.
