Greene County School Superintendent Dr. Corey Jones has resigned from his position.
WVUA 23 news spoke with Dr. Jones via the phone, who told us his resignation is effective September 30, 2015.
Jones has been the Greene County School Superintendent for six years.
Jones said under his leadership, the school system has reached a number of goals.
He said he wishes the school system the very best.
Jones says he will make the announcement of the his next venture on Thursday.
