BREAKING NEWS: Washington Gas Leak Causes Evacuations on the Square; Avoid Area

Wednesday at around 9a.m. Local authorities responded to a call on the Washington square at the corner of Main Street and Iowa Avenue. The Washington County Communications Center confirmed a gas leak was reported in the area. Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington Police have set up a perimeter of one block around the Washington square. You are asked to please avoid the Washington Square until further notice. Some local businesses on the square have been evacuated. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
