An English man criticized Brits who choose to uproot their lives and move to Australia “for no good reason”.

Fred Asquithof Londonhe has had several friends ‘abandon’ him and move all over the world in search of a better life.

The comedian admitted he doesn’t understand the hype about Down Under: He was planning to move to melbourne on a sabbatical, but ended up flying back to London in three months.

Fred claimed that it was almost impossible to keep in touch with people who had moved abroad, saying that his friends now living in Australia are “not relevant” to him.

“The world is really big, but it’s too big to move to the other side and expect it to respond to your ‘how’s your day’ messages from the future,” he said.

Fred Asquith, from London, has had a number of friends ‘drop’ him and move all over the world seemingly out of the blue.
Fred has echoed the same sentiments about romantic relationships, where previously a couple moved to Dubai without warning.

The British published a video explaining your point of view on the situation.

‘Why do people move to Australia and ruin everything?’ she asked.

‘You can have a really good partner, and then they’ll tell you they’re moving. You have built a relationship here (in England), and suddenly they want to go to Australia.

Another ‘confusing’ aspect was the lack of established roots his friends had in Australia before taking the big step.

‘They’ll tell you they don’t really know anyone there, they’ll have to get a whole new job, life and house. And they also have to move all their things abroad, thousands of kilometers away, but they really “have” to do it for some reason.

Fred questioned if his friends really ‘had’ to move out and ‘break’ the whole life they had made.

“Damn hell, I’ll never see you,” he said, frustrated.

He said he was not convinced by promises to keep in touch despite the distance and time difference.

‘I don’t care that I can call you and you’ll answer in a second, and we’ll have perfectly synchronized audio.

‘When you are in Australia, you are no longer relevant to me. It’s not happening. I’m not texting you about the new crime documentary on Netflix.

“I’m not going to text you about the Premier League because you’re probably watching the A-league or Australian Rules,” he added.

Many agreed with Fred’s plight and shared their own experiences.

“Interest in Australia is my biggest dating app red flag,” said one woman.

“I had a friend who moved to Australia and I don’t know her anymore,” added a second.

“I know an absolutely unholy number of people in Australia,” said one man. ‘And no, we don’t talk anymore.’

“I moved to Australia and it’s not the utopia you think it is,” another revealed. “I hated it and I went back to England two years later.”
