Aug 18 (Reuters) – British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is winding down plans for a major cabinet reshuffle scheduled for September, The Telegraph reported on Friday.
Sunak is now considering concentrating on replacing ministers who have already said they want to resign, such as former Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, the report added.
Downing Street and the Cabinet Office did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
In July, Wallace saying that he would leave the government when the next reorganization occurs and would resign as a legislator in the next elections.
Sunak is widely expected to reshuffle his cabinet as he struggles to meet his goals of halving inflation this year and reigniting economic growth before national elections scheduled for next year.
