Burst in water-pipeline leaves Karachi amid scarcity

The major 72-inch pipeline which previously was delivering water to Metropolitan Karachi has been broken down on Tuesday.

As per the sources due to a dismal sanitation system, the pipe was submerged in partially floating roads of the locality while at an instant, it burst opened leaking away all the water to be delivered to Karachi.

According to the details, shared by water regulation board so far, the repairing task is scheduled to be executed by Wednesday 8 pm and will continue till March 8

Area of Karachi including Bin Qasim Town, Manzil Pump, Muzaffarabad Colony, Malir Town, Jinnah Terminal CAA, etc. will remain bear water shortage.

Whereas areas including Landhi, Shah Faisal, and Model Colony will suffer a consequential water crisis in parts as Managing Director Water Board (MDWB) Asad Ullah Khan said the repair will take time and has floated the suggestion of storing water for a couple of upcoming days.
