Rashid’s arrival is said to be “imminent”
Rashid is scheduled to be the first DLC character for Street Fighter 6. His release is scheduled for summer 2023.
This morning, Capcom released a first look at what appears to be Rashid’s in-game rendering in Street Fighter 6. Up to this point, we’ve only seen some Street Fighter 6 concept art for Rashid.
Of course, Rashid looks just like he did in the concept art posted for him. Needless to say, he has undergone some changes since his appearance in Street Fighter 5.
Rashid is shown to be smiling during his in-game rendering. His pose is less of a fighting stance and more of a welcoming gesture.
Instead of a white turban that completely covers the top of his head, he appears to have a new helmet in which the top is open. Needless to say, part of her hair can be seen sticking out of the helmet.
In addition to a black crossover belt, Rashid now shows off his bare chest. He also wears an open black and gold blouse that is too short to reach his stomach.
It seems that Rashid’s release in Street Fighter 6 is now “imminent”. To celebrate the upcoming release of Rashid, Capcom has released a “Rashid Arrives!” fight pass
The “Rashid arrives!” Fighting Pass can be purchased for 250 Fighter Coins and will be available from July 4 to July 23. This seems to suggest that Capcom hopes to release Rashid soon after this time frame.
With the “Rashid arrives!” Fighting Pass, it seems that players can acquire a lot of avatar equipment that references Rashid. It’s certainly worth noting that one of these pieces of avatar equipment includes an eyepiece resembling a “scout” from the Dragon Ball Z series, though this eyepiece is a reference to Rashid’s Street Fighter 5 appearance in instead of his appearance from Street Fighter 6.
The music that is available with this Fighting Pass are the songs of Rashid, Laura and Necalli. As of now, it’s unknown what this means for Laura and Necalli’s chances as future DLC in Street Fighter 6.
There are also a number of decals that not only reference Rashid, but also his butler Azam, a character who was never playable in Street Fighter 5 despite the character’s appearance in the single player mode “A Shadow Falls”. in Street Fighter 5.
