The Ministry of Health (MH) has highlighted the surging cases of mutated variant of Corona Virus i.e SARS-CoV-2 which were detected lately in United Kingdom (UK) are anchoraging rampantly in the country.Â
According to the details, health authorities have been using a mechanized surveillance system to help detect new strains of COVID-19.
High alerts on following Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) have been implemented while the law and enforcement agencies have been directed to ensure their execution in all public places across the country.Â
National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), in January had confirmed the detection of highly contagious strains of COVID-19 arriving in the country from UK.
Moreover, the National Institute of Health (NIH) had diagnosed a number of samples taken from the UK return travellers suspected to be carrying the new Covid-19 variant, out of which, two variants named B117 matched the suspected samples.Â
